So. Now I'm trying to decide which obsolete blend to try to re-create now. As many of you know I take samples of blends which have become obsolete for one reason or another - disbandment of the company, inability to get supplies (like Zimmerman glass!!!) and try to come as close as humanly possible to matching that blend without knowing which frits were used in the original or in what proportions. Some colors are obvious, some not so much, some are gone for good but I enjoy seeing just how close I can come.
Which blends have I re-created? Several so far, but to name a few, "Wildwood" by Spiral Dance became "Be Wary of the Wildwood,"
"Green Acres," also from Spiral Dance became "Acres of Green,"
And "Cherries of Tuscany" came from a blend that a friend of mine gave me to match that she couldn't get anymore.
So what now?
I have samples of "Dragon Gems," "Enchanted Violet," "Midnight Fiesta," and "Winter Magic," all from Spiral Dance. Now I have to figure out which one that I want to start on!
