I haven't been able to get to my torch for days now - I bought "a few" jars from Gail along with her frit recipe licences.... UPS brought three HUGE boxes! My goodness! I just loved Gail when we spoke on the phone - she's a very nice, funny & straightforward woman even in the middle of the chaos of moving and reevaluating her business priorities (what she really wants to continue to do) and the stress of how to handle the change.

But oh my goodness she is generous as well! I wound up with three HUGE boxes of various sizes of absolutely wonderful jars! And they're so much lighter than mine - I'll have to look at the company that she ordered from. I love them!

Needless to say, Gail's jars and kilos of new frit that I've ordered have somehow taken over the working half of my studio, so trying to get to my torch is beyond a joke at the moment! I'll post pictures later if I get a chance...

Order those Beads of Courage samples and make those beads for the kids! Send me beads or pictures ('cause I sure as heck can't make test beads from any of the tons of new frits myself right now!!!!)

Have fun with the new colors and new blends - many, many thanks again to Gail Joseph for letting me purchase those licences! I'm having a BLAST mixing the "new" blends and Lord help me getting ideas for new ones....

GG Glass Frits Officially Arriving at That Frit Girl!!!

With permission from Gail Joseph and the acquisition of both the licence for sale of her 96COE frit blends as well as her 90COE frit blends, I am proud to announce that GG Glass frit blends (90 & 96COEs) will now be carried at That Frit Girl. I plan to keep the pricing as similar as possible to the original, as well as the increments with the addition of 1/2oz units and BOC samples. All frits will be available in either jars or baggies at your choice.

Gail is offering her recipes for sale for private use only at Gail Joseph Studios - if you prefer to blend your own you can purchase the recipes there - I will carry all ingredients needed for you to do so in my store in the regular Gaffer, Kugler & Reichenbach sections. However, if you just want a bit of a blend and not have to mix it yourself, stop by http://www.shop.thatfritgirl.com/Blends_c13.htm and pick out a few that are ready-made! Who knows - you may even find a few more that you like!!!

I've changed my blends section - broken it into two main categories: 96COE and 90COE to avoid any confusion as to which blend is what COE. Just open the folder that you want and your blends will be listed there as before!

Gail's sections are under construction at the moment as I acquire the necessary ingredients for all of the blends. I've already started mixing the 96COE blends and as I complete a blend I add it to the shop so it is available to you immediately. Be patient with me as I mix all of her gorgeous blends and add them to the store!

New Store Section!!!!

Introducing GG Glass 96 COE Blends

Keep an eye open for a new store section. 80 "new" blends will be slowly filtering into my new "GG Glass 96 COE Blends" section with many thanks to Gail for granting me the licence for sale of her 96 COE frit blends. I plan to keep Gail's original names and pictures for continuity as well as housing her blends in their own section, keeping the name GG Glass Frit to give Gail credit for her gorgeous and carefully thought-out blends.

I will add blends as I have the base frits to make them, however there are some colors that I will need to order so those blends will show up later. 

Please quietly thank Gail each time you continue to order her wonderful 96 COE blends!

Playing with Fire

Walking on the Sun is Like Playing with Fire!!!!

It's been awhile since I've been able to just - play - in my studio, so I thought that I'd see what one of my very first blends looked like over a few different Bullseye Odd lots...

"Walking on the Sun" is like playing with fire, especially when combined with fine silver leaf! Wow! I'd completely forgotten how much fun this blend was!!

Here's the result over Bullseye Yellow Ochre Odd:

When you combine it with Bullseye Pumpkin Odd you get this:

And over Bullseye Nougat Odd with blue-silver leaf, this is what happens...
