CHILLIN' OUT WITH DECEMBER BEADS OF COURAGE IDEAS!!!

CHILLIN' OUT WITH DECEMBER BEADS OF COURAGE IDEAS!!!

Now a "Business Plan" bead may not sound too cool to a kid (or to me either, for that matter...) but Cookie beads? Bingo? What about National Tie month (great for twisties!!!) or National Dice Day??? No one said that the dice had to be fuzzy!!! OMG - There's actually a CAT HERDER's day! I never knew that there were enough cat herders out there to have a day named after them!!

This stuff is great, guys! print it out, stick it on your wall, and if you get stuck for an idea for the kiddos, just, um, look at the calendar!

Sadie Hawkins Day: 1 (See Note Below)
(Always First Saturday.  This is what Chase's Calendar put and so I stuck with that formula for this observance. But, a  Sadie Hawkins Dance can be held anytime a school or someone wants to have one.
Also, some call Leap Year Day - Feb. 29 as Sadie Hawkins Day also because tradition states that women can ask the men to marry them on that  day.  To me, Leap Year Day is not Sadie Hawkins Day and they are two separate observances.
Asking a guy to a dance is different than asking him to marry you.
Although...in the cartoon strip, once the single gals caught their guys in the annual footrace, the men were forced to marry the gal that caught them aka a shotgun edding per se. ;)
Hope this helps to clarify things a bit.

NEW FORMAT!!!

Coming Soon - A New, Less Confusing Format!!!

I am in the middle of revising the base pricing, which is currently based on a half-ounce unit, to alleviate some of the pricing confusion. The new base unit will be the full ounce, however half-ounces will still be available. The price shown will be for a full ounce - when you make your selection it will be halved for a half-ounce or doubled for our new, 2oz units.

The default container for all frits is a secure baggie, however jars are always available if you prefer - simply select the optional "jar" under "container." Many of you like to reuse jars that you already have, so if you do need a jar, just select it!

Interesting Facts about October - Let's keep those creative BOC juices flowing!!!

That definitely explains October! It has so much oddness, from throughout the entire month to down to individual days. I can see a kiln-full of Oscar-the-Grouch beads in honor of "Grouch Day"!!!  Cheese Month? How cool is that, and the Beads of Courage Program kiddos are sure to agree!

If you'd like to read a bit more about the backgrounds of how some of these crazy days came about visit http://www.brownielocks.com/september.html and get one heck of a broad education on your, um, monthlies, but in the meantime this list alone should create enough creative bead fodder for those BOC "Help! I'm stumped" moments!

There's definitely more than enough ideas here for a bead a day for those kiddos! Now go forth and have fun making them!!
